Patrick is currently the CEO of phactMI, a non-profit association representing medical information leadership of 30+ pharma companies. PhactMI is an industry-wide consortium that focuses on increasing awareness, credibility, and access to medical information. Prior to joining phactMI, Patrick worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) where he held various leadership roles within the R&D organization. He led the US Clinical Site Monitoring organization in R&D operations and implemented the original Oncology and Immunoscience Field Medical teams in US Medical Affairs. Patrick also led the development and implementation of a global Field Medical capability in Europe, in support of several key launches.
Patrick was a member of the Global Medical leadership team and provided executive sponsorship for several key initiatives and programs including developing new leaders through the BMS-Rutgers PharmD program; implementing new global systems and capabilities in support of a multichannel, customer-centric strategy; and helping to transform the organization to a specialty care biopharma model.
Just before leaving BMS, Patrick led the globalization of the Medical Information capability by harmonizing customer engagement through the implementation of a global medical contact center, centralizing medical content creation and curation, and implementing a multichannel technology solution.
Immediately following his retirement from BMS, Patrick was the interim head of the Global Medical Capabilities group within Global Medical Affairs at Amgen, where he led the implementation of this group as part of a global medical affairs transformation.
